Start the new year off on a positive sign when you come to the Zodiac on New Year’s Eve night! The 2016 Zodiac New Year’s Eve Party is one event you won’t want to miss. Our Alice in Wonderland New Year’s Bash will be a Mad Fun adventure down the rabbit hole. The festivities start at 8 PM, be prepared to indulge in our wildly fun games, music, and prizes. At 8 PM on December 9th we are hosting the Happy Horrordays Dance Party. This night will be awesome, featuring live music by Discount Cinema and music by DJs BatBoy and Matte Black. Drink specials and horribly good dance fun will be the highlights of your night. The cover is $3. On December 10th is our Winter Wonderland Ball, featuring your favorite local drag performers and a special guest burlesque performer from the local troupe, Peaks and Pasties. Admission is only $5.00 and there will be Raffle Prizes! On December 11th we have a special treat. For only a $5 cover you can experience Comedy Ray Gun: The Musical, as hosted by: Ryan Pacheco and Andrew Ingram, with comedy by Chris Wellman Pam Sterner and Otis Dan Raney. On December 16th at 8 PM we have Capt Wails & the Harpoons, Stella Luce, Youthful Nothings, See You Home Wolf, and CJ Hackett for a $5 cover. On December 18th at 3PM join us for the December Hula Jam. December’s Sunday Funday Hula Jam falls on Hula Girl Melissa’s birthday this year, so come on out and celebrate with the radicool grooves from Johnny MadBot & DJ Neea Starla! You can hoop it up with Bodacious Becca and learn some new moves, or just dance and chillax with us and enjoy the happy hour discounts! On Nov. 26th at 8PM the Zodiac will be holding a Holiday Toy Drive w/Live music! Come by and help fill our box with new unwrapped toys for our community’s children while enjoying Live performances by The Mostly Don’ts, MILOGIC, Cheap Perfume, Mad Trees W/ Charlie Milo, and Kevin Mitchell & Lord Damage. This event is hosted by Gary Vanderpool and J-Dup of the Weed Pimps. It will be a great night of fun and doing good for our community’s children. Your generous gifts will brighten the Christmas season for many children who are in need. It’s a win-win event created just for YOU. Entrance fee is $5 or free with your donation of a new unwrapped toy for the children. Doors open at 8 PM and the show starts at 9 PM sharp.
Come and enjoy our November special events in support of unique performers and filmmakers. On November 12th the Zodiac will host Abstinence: The Movie Fundraiser ft. live music. Cover charge is $5 which goes toward funding this great adult independent film. Abstinence: The Movie features an intense moving plot in the form of a coming of age drama for the two female main characters. It features both atheist and anti-theist tones throughout the film, as well as body and sex positive messages that are LGBT and Alternative Lifestyle friendly. This film will present you with a new kind of cinema experience that will blend the local art scene with gritty adult scenes. This film will push the boundaries of church and society as you watch the two 18 year old women seek to discover who they are while avoiding being caught by their religious parents and God-fearing school principal. The second very special event in November is on Nov. 25th at 8PM – A Night of Twin Peaks : Black Lodge Friday. This will be our third annual Twin Peaks Party!! This is going to be an amazing night, sure to delight fans of Twin Peaks and other works by David Lynch. This event will feature Live Performances, a Fashion Show, a Costume Contest and so much more! We’re looking forward to another great year and hope that you can all be a part of this great celebration as well!
Zodiac Venue has two main Halloween events planned this year, which are filled to the brim of a witch’s hat with fun. The first is Peaks and Pasties Boolesque Weekend, which will be on October 14th and 15th. Both nights start at 8 PM, and the show begins at 10 PM on the nose. All ghosts, witches, and frightful creatures are welcome to attend this spooky and sexy weekend. The Peaks and Pasties performers hail from all over Colorado and New Mexico and are geared up for two very different nights with two sets of cast, all for your enjoyment and pleasure. Be sure to come dressed up in your favorite costume for the costume contest both nights. If you are a winner you get one entry for the upcoming Peaks and Pasties Academy of Burlesque, which starts October 20th. You also don’t want to miss the raffle each night where you could win a bar tab from Zodiac, some Peaks and Pasties gear, a photo from Broken Glass Photography, Professional Bull Riding (PBR) gear, and much more.
The second Halloween event at the Zodiac is Ghouls Gathering happening on October 29th from 3PM to 2AM. It will be an all-day themed event, starting at 3 PM for all the kids and free of charge until 7 PM. At 7 PM all of the more adult festivities will begin, including Halloween Trivia, vendors, performances, costume contests, raffles and prizes.
Zodiac Venue is one of the most unique and eclectic bars in the Colorado Springs area. You can come here any day of the week and experience a different atmosphere and culture. No matter what your interests or proclivities are, you will have a bangin’ good time! The bartenders at this over-the-top fantastic venue will get to know you and care about making you a satisfied customer every time you come in. Monday through Saturday you can come in for happy hour from 2PM to 7PM and expect to have genuine conversations with people that care. If you love to sing and show out for your talents, you will love Monday nights, which is Open Mic Night. If you are into Goth music and dance, let loose on Tuesday nights on Worship/Goth Dance Night. At this bar, you can hear live music and take in the breathtaking Burlesque and other performance artistry that is part of the one of a kind Zodiac Venue experience.
